 Thursday 6th saw the clash of the titans, the main event, the DJ battle of Outbreak Vs Hypnosis in the Bar Med/Litten Tree DJ competition. The beer was flowing and the tension was hot.Ben Outbreak was up first, and has always been first to play for each of the rounds. Blowing the place apart with superstar DJ quality Drum and Bass set, there were people on the dancefloor as soon as the first tune dropped. Each DJ got 30 minutes to do their stuff, and after Ben Outbreak, up stepped a female DJ playing a mix of House and olskool. I thought the first half of her set sucked shit, but the last half kicked ass! She didnt win though, and neither did the Funky House DJ that followed her. 1st place went to the DJ that played last. Hypnosis stormed the decks once again with the most energetic set I have ever heard him play. It was a hard set, but with bouncy edges. He even managed to get the judges and other DJs up and dancing. In a shock result that needs looking into, DJ Outbreak came 3rd overall on the night. Craig Hypnosis moves onto the Grand Finals, and Ben Outbreak walks away with 2 nights a week at Bar Med and the offer of playing at Matrix in Reading.
